So, Westminster Council put a nice splash to celebrate Ramadan (which, by the way, is NOT a celebration, it's the equivalent of lent), Eid al-Fitr IS a holiday, Islam's second most important one (at the end of Ramadan)... So when wishing a good Ramadan is like wishing "a good lent to Catholics"...Tone deff much?
Yeah, Westminster is run by Labour, my favourite kind, the lazy ignorant ones. BTW, no trace of "happy Easter holidays" for Westminster Council until the very last minute. That's racism. I know it sounds as if it's trying to reach out, but it's really lazy comments about "other people we really don't care about" You know why? Because a 5-minute search on the internet will tell you everything you need to know about Ramadan.
Finally, guess where I heard this, yes from the foreman of our meat processing plant, I walked in yesterday afternoon, because he had called me about some issue he wanted to discuss. When I arrived they were laughing about Westminster, five Muslim guys were laughing at the cultural insensitivity of a bunch of lazy do-gooders in London.
As I said before, maybe the Tories are giving honours to Frank Hester, a major Tory donor and he's probably a bit of a racist (misogyny too??). However, I consider what Westminster Council did worse. At least Hester knows who he is, these morons probably still don't understand what they did wrong, they are unaware of their insincere cultural reach out. Frankly, I am not even surprised.
